چکیده

Abstract A comprehensive study of the rheological characterization aqueous solutions polyethylene oxide (PEO) with molecular mass 4 × 106, 5 and 8 106 g/mol, respectively, named (4 miDA), (5 (8 miDA) was conducted. large batch samples miDA PEO concentrations varying from 0.1% to 3%, representing range dilute very high viscous hydrated gels, were tested. Steady-state shear flow oscillatory measurements are reported. Cross, Carreau, Carreau–Yasuda models used describe shear-thinning behavior within rate (0.001 ≤ γ˙ 3000 s−1). Experimental findings validated published results under same operating conditions specified ranges (0.1 100 We find that is highly dependent on rheometer, material, procedures. Oscillatory carried out determine complex properties in frequency ω strain amplitude γ 0.01 rad/s 1000%, respectively. Higher magnitudes dynamic moduli (G/ G//), zero (η0) infinite (η∞) viscosities, resonant frequencies (ωres), linear viscoelastic regions (LVER), higher relaxation time constants (λ) observed increasing concentration weight. The response polymeric further clarified via Lissajous curves. aim this work characterize prior its use an experimental investigation secondary flows fluids noncircular channels.

Synthesis of high molecular weight polyethylene using FI catalyst

A FI Zr-based catalyst of bis[N-(3,5-dicumylsalicylidene)-2′,6′diisopropylanilinato]zirconium(IV) dichloride was prepared and used for polymerization of ethylene. The effects of reaction conditions on the polymerization were examined in detail. The increase in ethylene pressure and rise in polymerization temperature up to 35 oC were favorable for catalyst/MAO to raise the catalytic activity as...

Mechanical, Rheological, and Bioactivity Properties of Ultra High-Molecular-Weight Polyethylene Bioactive Composites Containing Polyethylene Glycol and Hydroxyapatite

Ultrahigh-molecular-weight polyethylene/high-density polyethylene (UHMWPE/HDPE) blends prepared using polyethylene glycol PEG as the processing aid and hydroxyapatite (HA) as the reinforcing filler were found to be highly processable using conventional melt blending technique. It was demonstrated that PEG reduced the melt viscosity of UHMWPE/HDPE blend significantly, thus improving the extrudab...

Properties of crosslinked ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene.

Substantially reducing the rate of generation of wear particles at the surfaces of ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) orthopedic implant bearing components, in vivo, is widely regarded as one of the most formidable challenges in modern arthroplasty. In the light of this, much research attention has been paid to the myriad of endogenous and exogenous factors that have been postula...
